On April 26, 2011, Sundar agreed to undergo stem cells transplant to help treat his condition.

Dr. Rajput is a consultant orthopedic and stem cell transplant surgeon based at Breach Candy Hospital. He explained to Sundar that he will inject stem cells taken from his own body to help repair the nerves in his spinal cord.

The treatment proved to be very successful. After the stem cells transplant, Sundar can now walk with support. According to him, he tried every treatment possible before agreeing on undergoing stem cells therapy. He said he chose this treatment since there was no other option left for him. It was a very wise decision on his part since he can walk and has total control of his bladder again.
